DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, MARCH 10, 2017: (TSX:NFI) (TSX:NFI.DB.U) Motor Coach Industries ("MCI"), a subsidiary of New Flyer Industries Inc. (the "Company"), the largest bus and motor coach manufacturer and parts supplier in North America has capped a great first year as a New Flyer company with the signing of a $7.5 million order with Coach Atlantic Group for 13 MCI J4500 motor coaches at the 2017 UMA Expo.

"It's a significant investment for a privately held company," said Pat Ziska, MCI New Coach Sales Vice President at the motorcoach industry's biggest event, held this year in St. Louis. "MCI is extremely honored that Coach Atlantic Group has selected the MCI J4500 to serve their regional passengers and the many global visitors who enjoy the unique beauty of Canada's Maritime Provinces."

Coach Atlantic, based on Prince Edward Island, Canada, is well positioned in the Maritimes as one of Canada's most diversified transportation companies. More than 300 of Coach Atlantic's dedicated, professional employees manage, service and operate 200 vehicles with daily, weekly and seasonal bus services for charter, line-run, public school and municipal transit customers.

"The company philosophy places emphasis on why we do what we do rather than what we do or how we deliver service," said Adam Doiron, Coach Atlantic CEO. "Our people are focused on customer service and a truly memorable passenger experience. It's the right deal and the right choice for us."

The MCI J4500 is a fitting choice, thanks to its reputation for head-turning looks inside and out, while offering the lowest total cost of operation in the industry. Coach Atlantic's 2017 models are equipped with the latest clean-diesel Cummins engine technology and features. These include electronic stability, ZF independent suspension for great handling, plus new sleekly styled Amaya extra-legroom seating for 56 passengers, enjoying the 110-volt power outlets and USB ports for work and play.

Matthew Cassidy, Coach Atlantic Vice President of Finance, brought up another important reason behind the deal. "Signing a bus order is one thing. Finding the right financing is another matter. We thank our industry partner MCI and our financial institutions for supporting our vision. Most importantly, we thank our staff and our loyal customers for making this order a reality," he said.

"It was a thrill to mark this order at UMA Expo," added Guy Charron, MCI Regional New Coach Sales Vice President in Canada, who is also responsible for the Coach Atlantic account. "Our mutual goals go much further than the units themselves. We share a vision and MCI promises to offer our support all along the way. This is what the MCI and Coach Atlantic relationship is really all about."
