RON MILLER PROMOTED TO DIRECTOR OF MCI SERVICE CENTERS
DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, SEPTEMBER 23, 2016: (TSX:NFI) (TSX:NFI.DB.U) Motor Coach Industries ("MCI"), a subsidiary of New Flyer Industries Inc. (the "Company"), the largest bus and motor coach manufacturer in North America announced that Ron Miller, who began his career with MCI at its Ohio service operation, has been named Director of the company's six state-of-the-art Service Centers in the U.S. and Canada.
Miller, who served as the network's Interim Director since April 2016 reports to Brian Dewsnup, MCI Vice President and General Manager of Aftermarket.
Miller began his career with MCI 12 years ago at the former Service Center in Loudonville, Ohio. Most recently, he was MCI Fleet Services Manager, responsible for heavy-duty collision and repair projects at MCI Service Center locations.
MCI Service Centers, which specialize in the maintenance and repair of all makes and models of intercity coaches and transit buses, are equipped for collision repairs, refurbishing, paint, and body work, retrofits with OEM wheelchair lifts and engine overhauls. MCI service centers are also approved for Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Allison Transmission, ZF ASTronic Transmission, and HVAC systems warranty service and offer parts-pick up windows.
"Ron's hands-on experience managing maintenance shops and his quality focus make him a valuable contributor to our singular goal of outstanding customer service," said Dewsnup. "He is known and respected industrywide for his expertise, integrity and dedication to getting the job done."
Miller has spent his career in quality vehicle service. Before joining MCI, he was an automotive technician who rose to lead service operations for dealerships.
"We have longtime, far-reaching relationships throughout the motor coach industry, which is why I am so excited about this opportunity," said Miller. "Everything we're about begins at the service level, so it's our team's job to improve customer satisfaction whether we're dealing with an emergency repair, a parts pick-up or preparing a new or pre-owned coach for delivery. Our well-trained, dedicated technicians represent the heart of our Reliability Driven culture."
Throughout North America, MCI Service Centers employ 85 MCI and Setra factory-trained technicians at locations in Des Plaines, Illinois; Orlando, Florida; Los Alamitos, California; Blackwood, New Jersey; Dallas, Texas; and Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
MCI Service Centers offer owners of MCI and Setra coaches a ReliaDrive guarantee with same-day diagnostics, accurate estimates, fixed right repairs and a six-month parts and labor warranty, or the next service comes with three free hours of labor.
"ReliaDrive is an incentive for owners of our coaches to give us a try," said Miller. "At the same time, it helps prove our capabilities at fast, accurate trouble shooting and repair that keeps customers coming back."
